This weekend the blizzard “Nemo” came and paid us a visit. Honestly, I really didn’t feel a “blizzard” but he sure left us a good amount of snow and a beautiful Saturday! The Mrs. and I always find the need to frolic in day after snow so off to Central Park we went. This is Pearl’s first snow and I was nervous she would hate it. Guess I missed the memo that most dogs LOVE the snow!! It was so cute seeing her hop up and down like a little bunny. Of course she made a million human friends.. She doesn’t really fancy other pups but she did make a big fuss and bark at each of them (this is a work in progress)…
Last night the Mrs. and I saw Emile Sandé live at Webster Hall. My friend Cruz has introduced me to her music about 6 month ago and I instantly fell in love with her soulful voice. The scottish singer has amazing vocals and songwriting skills. She’s huge in the UK and I have no doubt that she will be taking over the charts here in the states soon.
The Pacetti’s are no strangers to this blog. I have been documenting their lives for the past 3.5 years. Matthew has become my little buddy and never fails to give me the cutest little smiles. It had become our little tradition to take holiday photos each year and I was over joyed when I found out that this year little Mason would be joining us. 🙂
The Mrs. tried to go see the Ann Hamilton exhibit at the Park Ave Armory. The line was about 2.5 hours long and neither of us were that vested in sheets and swings so we decided on the next best option, eating. 🙂
I don’t usually venture on the east side so it was a perfect chance to go to The Neely’s. Having ate there before I knew the Mrs. would enjoy so off we went. We both ordered very spiked lemonades that had us tipsy in about 3 minutes. Don’t judge, we are lightweights and proud! She ordered 3 little Pigs, 1/2 rack of ribs, with a side mac & cheese and I favored the beef short ribs with creamed sweet potatoes. Needless to say the food was amazingly delicious leaving us in an extreme food coma. The portions are pretty large so we had enough for a round of leftovers. If you live in the city or visiting we highly recommend The Neely’s Barbecue Parlor. The ambiance is cozy and the staff is friendly ( Shout out to our awesome waiter Sunil).
Just be advised to schedule a nap right after. 😉
