[ Random Ramblings ] Our Sunday

Hi!

I haven’t blogged my personal life in over a month. I thought it was due time for an update. Well..

I moved! Into the most fabulous NYC apartment ever! Mine mine all mine.. Well its not ALL mine… My other half Raquel FINALLY moved to NYC!! I had to endure many evil eyes from our family for “taking her away” but I won!! She’s mine! 🙂

So yes, the Misses and I have a home to call our own.

As we decorate I will share photos but for right now were living off of Ikea silverware and paper plates and Ohh how I <3 thee!

It’t been hotter then a skillet for about 2 weeks now. Miserable never feel “fresh” kind of heat. 🙁

To comfort our woes we made pasta salad + pie and suddenly summer didn’t feel so bad.

[Random Ramblings] My Date Night

I decided afterwork to take a walk down the Highline. One of my artists had insisted that I check out the newly opened portion of the park (23rdst – 30th St) so I did.  I had also seen thru someone I follow on Instagram that Tom Colicchio opened The Lot a Food Truck Court/ Art Installation on 30th street so I wanted to check it out.

It turned into an impromptu date with myself. Yes, myself. 🙂

…and loved every minute of it.

Sometime all a girl needs is sometime with herself to help her rembember how fabulous she is.

[Random Ramblings] Adele LIVE!

If you’ve been following my tweets then you know how stoked I was at the opportunity to see Adele LIVE. So many tried to get tickets but they were sold out before they even went on sale. I am not kidding! De, Frances and I tried sooo hard to get tickets and even stood in line in Washington Heights for 3 hours to be disappointed at the box office closing due to rowdy scalpers!  Right when were were going to throw in the towel, De saved the day and surprised us with 3 tickets and let me tell you I jumped up and down with GLEE!!

That was 3 months ago.

We patiently waited….Made mention of it every other day…Kept our tickets in a safe place… and YIPPIE today finally arrived!!

Adele my sweet Adele you did NOT disappoint. You were simply incredible. Your voice was so serene. You stole my heart and made me cry. You told stories about why you wrote certain songs, cussed out your ex-boyfriend, sang to your “Mum” that was in the audience, and treated us “fans” like royalty.

Amazing.Amazing.Amazing

Ohhh and the opening act THE CIVAL WARS.. Amazing as well! They were so cute and their harmony was on point. I totally just purchased their album on iTunes. 🙂

So I was a little mad at myself for not bringing my real camera. I was afraid that they would turn me away at the door so I decided that I would put my new iPhone to use. (Yes, I said iPhone – we’ll talk about that later. 😉 ) So the pictures came out a little crappy  and the video is a little far but all that really matters is the beautiful voice!

Enjoy!

[ Random Ramblings ] Adele

I have been  in love with Adele’s music since she released her first album. This girls is seriously one of the best vocalist I ever heard. She is just simply AMAZING! I am UBBER excited to finally see her in concert at the Beacon Theater on May 19th! I am already thinking of what outfit I am going to wear. 🙂

Her new album 21 is FIYA! I promise you she wrote this album with me in mind.  – Thank you Adele!

Everytime I hear “Rolling in the Deep” I get goosebumps.

“Throw your soul through every open door,
Count your blessings to find what you look for,
Turn my sorrow into treasured gold,
You’ll pay me back in kind and reap just what you’ve sown”

So POWERFUL! Enjoy! 🙂
