[New York City Engagement Session] Valesca + Curtis
[ NYC Portrait Sessions ] DeMarco Morgan
From the moment I met DeMarco I knew we had a connection. We simply just “got” each other. I treated him to Starbucks one afternoon and he explained his vision to me and what his expectations were for his upcoming session. I quietly listened and told him ” I got you”. DeMarco gave me free reign in choosing the location that would fit his style. We spent over 2 hours shooting downtown and there was never a dull moment. DeMarco has such an incredible spirit and is filled with a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight. I was so inspired by him that I just wanted to keep shooting and he kindly had to tell me.. “We can get more shots next time”..he.he
Thank you DeMarco for truly trusting me and for being so open minded to ALL my suggestions.
Can’t wait till we shoot again!!

[ Portrait Sessions ] Ebonie Johnson Cooper
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Ebonie. She is the voice behind the blog Friends of Ebonie, a unique civic platform where relationships are fostered between non-profit organizations and community-oriented individuals and businesses. Friends of Ebonie is committed to motivating early-to-mid level career professionals to become civic and philanthropically adept, we engage and educate this peer group through weekly blogging, e-newsletters, social media and fundraising campaigns.
Ebonie is one of those people who is definitely going places! She has such genuine spirit and is always a delight to be around. While she is a budding philanthropist, she is also passionate about using her personal journey to inspire fellow 20-somethings. There is never a dull moment when shes around! 🙂 I am excited to catch her on VH1’s new dating show “Why am I Single” with Siggy Flicker Oct 30th!
Follow her on twitter @friendsofebonie

[ Random Ramblings ] BEYONCE Live! :)
Yesterday was one of those days that you tell your kids about 🙂
I got invited to see Beyonce at the Roseland Ballroom for an “intimate” show.
Intimate it was!
Since it was “standing room only” Mack wanted to ensure that we got a prime spot, meaning get in line at 12:30pm for a 10pm show. So we caught up on life, read, made friends, charged our phones at Hale & Hearty, enjoyed our own cocktail hour, got caged in, and realized we are both obsessed with avocados. It was a long wait but I loved every minute and getting to see Bey up close and personal with your best friend is #priceless.
Beyonce was amazing. That girl has some energy!
Can’t wait to see her again but next time a seat would be fabulous 😉
Special thank you to Whitney for the ticket as well as coming to pick up our extra “stuff” before we went in.
The End.
We went straight home and took a LONG bath.
